Veristride Shoe with Flexpoint Bend Sensor Technology Wins Recognition at CES 2015

Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. today announced that through its previously announced relationship with Veristride, the company's technology was recognized at CES 2015, which occurred from January 6-9, 2015. The award winning shoe that Veristride exhibited at the show featured sensors designed and manufactured by Flexpoint.

In an article entitled "The Five Most Disruptive Innovations at CES 2015," the authors note, "As more kinds of sensors become better, cheaper, and easily recombinable, the range and sophistication of human and environmental sensing has expanded dramatically. Today, you can get products that measure and report on a wide array of biometric data…. Each of these metrics has important applications. Veristride, (http://www.veristride.com/), which we singled out in last year's review, continues to make strides with inserts for shoes that can help stroke victims improve their walking."

Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint stated, "To be recognized at such a large show for our innovation and potentially transformative product is an honor. One of the 12 grand challenges identified by the National Academy of Engineering is to advance health informatics. Beyond simply collecting medical information, however, there is a need for new technologies for "gathering medical data without a visit to the doctor, such as wearable devices". We expect to fill a void in the medical rehabilitation market by providing doctors and patients with real time feedback that can be monitored, stored and evaluated to give patients quick and full recovery."
