Control Engineering Honors Fluke Connect and Fluke 714B Thermocouple Temperature Calibrator with 2015 Engineers' Choice Awards

The Fluke Connect™ System and the Fluke® 714B Thermocouple Temperature Calibrator were honored in the Control Engineering 2015 Engineers' Choice Awards. The 714B won in the Hardware – Test, Measurement, Calibration category and Fluke Connect™ app received an honorable mention in the Software – Mobile Apps for Control, Automation, Instrumentation category.

The 714B Thermocouple Temperature Calibrator measures and simulates 17 different thermocouple types as well as millivolts to verify process sensors by direct comparison of measured versus reported temperatures. It allows instrument, process, and plant maintenance technicians to quickly and easily test process temperature instrumentation.

This is the seventh honor for Fluke Connect since its launch in May 2014 and the first for the 714B.

The Fluke Connect™ system allows technicians to wirelessly transmit measurement data from their test tools to their smart phones for secure storage on the cloud and universal team access from the field. Having access to maintenance records at the inspection site enables better, faster decision making and real-time collaboration between team members.

More than 20 Fluke Connect enabled tools connect wirelessly with the app, including digital multimeters, infrared cameras, insulation testers, process meters, and specific voltage, current and temperature models. Tools may be purchased separately or in preconfigured kits, such as the 3000 FC Industrial System.

The Control Engineering Engineer's Choice Awards highlight some of the best new control, instrumentation, and automation products as chosen by its subscribers. Survey respondents select products based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact.
