MD-0003 Allows Non-Contact Temperature Measurement

MD-0003 module, in TO-5 housing, was released by Dexter Research Center Inc. It is highly cost-effective and facilitates remote temperature measurement.

Temperature measuring sensors

Manufacturer’s standardization is recorded in the application-specific integrated circuit. System Management Bus (SMBus) is included with two wires. This complete set up enables interconnection of 100 sensors. The sensor is combined with signal conditioning unit, which reliably generates output peripherally, without requiring reconfiguration. Outputs are programmable, providing effective solutions for medical, consumer and other industrial applications. The temperature measurement ranges from -70 to 310°C. A repeatability of 0.5 K is achieved in the range from 0 to 50 °C. Fan angle of the sensor is 90° and imaging optics is absent.

The MD-0004 evaluation board, which is included on request, can be regulated by means of a USB interface and a PC. Without any additional software, the temperature ranges can be determined in the module and the best configuration which helps to meet the needs of the application can be obtained. The kit consists of a simple software and a quick start guide.
