Airframe Designs has been in business for over 10 years, providing specialist engineering services to a wide range of customers primarily in the aviation, defence, and space sectors.
We are a team of highly experienced engineers (design, analysis, certification, and manufacturing) capable of delivering optimal solutions for mechanical structures in a digital environment.
In the primary sectors, we provide engineering solutions for new design, modifications, repairs and reverse engineering for major airlines, special mission platform operators, military fleets, and VIP customers.
We also offer a turn-key solution for product delivery by providing design, analysis and manufacturing to enable delivery of mechanical components and assemblies, all aspects of tooling, and 3D printed polymer parts.
In addition to the primary sectors, we also operate in the nuclear, marine, medical, automotive and rail sectors.
Our team is agile and strives to operate and integrate with the customer design environment to create seamless and efficient design and product delivery processes.
We have a team of dedicated Stress Engineers and Structures CVEs (Compliance Verification Engineers), accustomed to the needs of the industry and highly familiar with the associated legal and regulatory frameworks.
Our Design Engineers (CAD specialists) are extremely proficient and fully trained in CATIA and SolidWorks, delivering solutions across all aspects of mechanical design from aircraft installations through to test rig structures, mould and trim tooling, jigs and fixtures, lifting, handling and ground support equipment.
In manufacturing, our expertise centres on additive layer manufacturing, producing polymer parts, prototypes, trial-fit mock-ups, and lightweight tooling.
Beyond this, our capabilities extend to reverse engineering, allowing us to craft digital twins of legacy tooling, ensuring the preservation and enhancement of traditional manufacturing assets. Our state-of-the-art production facility boasts a diverse selection of FDM printers, notably including a Stratasys Fortus 450mc for the precision printing of ultra-polymer materials. Complementing this, we employ a hand-held laser scanner, which serves not only for product geometry validation but also as a cornerstone of our reverse engineering and survey processes.
