TI’s New 5 W Wireless Power Receivers Support WPC Qi 1.1 Standard

Texas Instruments (TI) today introduced the industry's most power-efficient 5-watt wireless power receivers that support the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) Qi 1.1 standard. TI's new bq51020 and bq51021 allow consumers to charge their Qi-compliant mobile phones, tablets, power banks and other electronics faster, cooler and more efficiently compared to other available wireless power solutions.

US DoD AIMS Certifies MEADS Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe Subsystem

The Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) subsystem has received full certification for operation by the United States Department of Defense International AIMS (Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System, Identification Friend or Foe, Mark XII/Mark XIIA, Systems) Program Office. The system is designed to ensure the safety of allied aircrews engaged in combat operations.

Major Defense Prime Contractor Places Follow-on Order for Mercury Systems’ DSP Modules

Mercury Systems, Inc., a best-of-breed provider of commercially developed, open sensor and Big Data processing systems for critical commercial, defense and intelligence applications, announced it received a $2.7 million follow-on order from a leading defense prime contractor for digital signal processing modules for a manned airborne multi-mode surveillance radar application.
