Colnatec and Novaled Partner to Test Heated Quartz Crystal Microbalance Sensor System

Colnatec LLC, manufacturer of the only temperature-controlled sensors for thickness measurement of thin film devices, and Novaled, a world class provider of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technologies and materials, will work together in a joint research and development project to test the performance of the world’s first heated quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensor system, “Tempe”, for device layer self-regeneration in continuously-run OLED production.

New WeatherPro Version Supports Sensirion Sensors Integrated in Cell Phones

The new version of WeatherPro for Android 3.0 now also supports sensors integrated in the cell phone, such as the humidity and temperature sensor from Sensirion. The sensor data is displayed in the daily forecast. This enables users to compare the data from their current location with the forecast values, making them better prepared for any weather.

Sensotherm Acquired by Measurement Specialties

Measurement Specialties, Inc., (the "Company"), a global designer and manufacturer of sensors and sensor-based systems, announced today the completion of the acquisition of the capital stock of Sensotherm Temperatursensorik GmbH, a German limited liability company, and Secon Kft., a Hungarian limited liability company (together, "Sensotherm"), a leader in the design and manufacture of platinum (Pt) thin film RTD temperature sensors for €5.2 million or approximately $7.0 million. The acquisition closed August 30th.
