Toshiba Launches TB9067FNG Motor Driver System with Hall-Effect Position Sensor

Toshiba Electronics Europe has advanced a motor pre-driver IC with the TB9067FNG system incorporating Hall-effect position sensors for modifying the brushless DC motors.

The TB9067FNG features triple-phase transmission logic and gate-driver connection, an oscillator with 5.12MHz frequency, a regulator having 5V capacity and circuitry to identify the working condition of the system.

The device also has optional DC-level input control or PWM-pulse and a selectable motor operation feature using either the exterior signals or the in-house PWM signal.

An additional quick initialization mode is also accessible, which can be opted using exterior pins for mode-control operation.

The system as well as the motor distortions tracked by the integral circuitry of TB9067FNG encompasses over/under-voltage, over-power and over-temperature of the outside driver mosfets or ICs.

The Over-current tracking mode has dual threshold ranges for identifying short-circuit and motor-lock interruptions. The optional entire-drive inspection eliminates the necessity to regulate the output PWM operational cycle of the device.
