BittWare’s S43X Board Aids Multiple Signal Processing Applications

BittWare proclaimed the launch of its S4-3U-VPX (S43X) board at the Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD) symposium, 2010. The S43X is a robust COTS 3U VPX unit which employs intense-density, highly-operative Stratix IV GX FPGA from Altera.

The board embodies a designable SerDes 25-port connection which supports PCI Express, Serial RapidIO and 10 GigE protocols apart from 10/100/1000 Ethernet interface and DDR3 SDRAM with about four GB memory. The VITA 57 manageable FMC site furnishes intense sensitivity and is operable on 60 LVDS pairs, 10 SerDes and six clocks and permits the provision of an optional VITA-57 daughter card for additional processing, information transmission or for both applications. The unique ATLANTiS configuration and FINe host/control bridge from BittWare uncomplicates the application process and when combined with the Stratix IV GX FPGA furnishes a sensitive, re-alignable robust, marketable VPX board.

The S43X delivers flexible high-performance signal processing operations for conduction cooled, high-thermal, defence and military purposes for utilization in electronic warfares, signal intelligence, radars, image processing and also for commercial industrial control, communications and medical imaging applications.
