Ophir Laser Measurement Unveils Photodiode Sensor FPS-1

Ophir Laser Measurement Group, a division of Ophir Optronics, offering instruments such as spectrum analyzers, beam profilers and energy and power meters, has unveiled a latest product in the photo detector family named FPS-1, a speedy photo detector.

Ophir Photodiode Sensor

The FPS-1 is developed to calibrate the sequential pulse form of lasers or any other light resources. The device is an ultra-speed photodiode sensor having broad spectral reaction, which offers a speed of 1 ns reaction time and manages wavelengths between 190nm to 1100nm.

The FPS-1 is a flexible, handy photo detector that can be used effortlessly. This sensor operates in two modes. The sensor computes ns high crest power pulses under a load of 50 Ohm, while it calibrates lower and lengthier peak power pulses under a load of 10KOhm. The source can be generated from a fiber connection or a direct beam.

The FPS-1 can operate without a battery or a wall cube power supply. The sensor is marketed with options such as ND filters, which can vary the sensitivity according to the power intensity of the resource.
