GM’s Automotive Electronics Subsidiary Launches Website

General Motors Components Holdings’ (GMCH), Kokomo Operations, which makes electronic automotive electronic components that include pressure sensors for engine management & occupant detection and crash sensing & diagnostics modules, has made its online presence by launching a new website ‘www.kokomogmch.com’.

GMCH’s strategic move is to expand its business opportunities to a client base serving other than the automotive sector. The Kokomo Operations includes thick-film printing & electronics assembly manufacturing unit and semiconductor unit. Earlier, the products of Kokomo Operations were produced solely for Delphi and General Motors. Now, the company’s two million-square-foot production facility located in Kokomo, Indiana manufactures products including engine and transmission control modules, body computer modules, power electronics modules and semiconductors for various customers serving mainly in the automotive market.

Kokomo Operations’ business development manager Brian King, stated that the company has established a management team for the new business development in order to improve its presence within the electronics market.
