Sensor expert BAUMER has developed a robust, cost-effective electromagnetic immersion flow sensor specifically designed for water pressures up to 100 bar, making it an ideal choice for large flow applications such as pumping stations.
The PFM43 flow measurement sensor will suit large pipe diameters from DN80 up to DN2000. When compared to heavier, more expensive magmeter devices which typically feature a continuous measuring tube for large pipe diameters and require expensive, time-consuming installation with heavy equipment, the PFM43 offers significant benefits.
For example, it can be quickly and simply installed, even in existing pipes resulting in considerable time and cost savings. Also, thanks to its high measuring accuracy (measuring deviation ˂2%) the sensor plays a crucial role in ensuring highly accurate and efficient operation of larger, industrial flow systems.
The PFM43 immersion flow meter is easy-to-install and offers the capability to measure volume flow, flow velocity and temperature at water pressures up to 100 bar in the simplest way. Also, as a lightweight device weighing up to a maximum of 5 kg means it can be a one- man installation process, even in applications with large pipe diameters. Therefore, users benefit from time and cost savings during installation and maintenance, whilst also minimising storage costs. To simplify commissioning the PFM43 can be easily parameterised via a USB connection in conjunction with the Baumer Control Panel.
All this adds up to another user-friendly addition to the extensive range of sensors within the Baumer portfolio for water industry and other larger flow applications.
