Priamus Develops Sensors for Pressure and Temperature Measurement

Switzerland-based Priamus System Technologies has previously introduced automatically disconnecting quick-coupler systems for the mold wall temperature sensors and mold cavity pressure sensors.

Quick-Couplers and Compact Sensors

The couplings were useful in multi-cavity molds for enabling the removal of mold inserts. In addition, the mold inserts are exchangeable and replaceable with new inserts, enabling the change of sensor positions, while keeping the coupler’s position as the same.

Priamus has developed new compact sensors by using the concept of couplings,  and will be useful in measuring pressure and temperature in the injection mold. The sensor is fitted permanently to the coupler with a spacer, resulting in a compact solution to suit the space and application requirements.

The length of the sensors is custom designable and variable. The mold wall temperature sensors and mold cavity pressure sensors for closed and open loop control, as well as for supervision of injection molding process, can be simplified further.
