Cabelma to Initialize Sensor Enabled Sorting System

South America-based, Cabelma will be installing a Sensor-enabled PET waste Sorting System for $23.5 million at its recycling center, being constructed recently.

German manufacturer, Titech has developed this PET waste sorting device for Cabelma for recovering PET transparent fractions easily and effectively. The system can grade about 5.2 tonnes of waste in an hour, and employs infrared sensors to sort the quality of the fractions rapidly, providing pure fractions.

According to Pedro Barandiaran, Cabelma’sProject Manager, their focus is on recycling maximum he PET products and Titech's waste sorting system facilitates this operation. The company stated that the system’s rapid and precise functionality will enhance the effectiveness of the recycling process and provides high-quality PET recycling across South America.

Titech's sales and marketing manager in South America, Carlos Manchado, explained that, they are highly satisfied with the efficiency of their sorting system and its product is gaining increased market value in Argentina and South America.
