Belden has introduced the eight-pole M8 actuator and sensor interface to its Lumberg Automation product portfolio. These shock and vibration-proof actuators and sensing connectors are available in two different models having installable wires and triple-field mountable types.
All the models are operative under a thermal range in the order of -25° C to +80°C, and meets IP67 standards upon its association with its proper components.
The intense contact solidity of these devises relays about eight signals within an exterior current supply, allowing the connection of optoelectronic sensors or security switches for checking the security doors on machineries and devices.
M8 actuator and sensor interface
These M8 devices link sensors or actuators to distribution boxes or switch cabinets with an open end wire, providing intensive suppleness in cabling. The RSM 8-354/0.3 M male connector features a snap-in/threaded joint and the RKMV 8-354/2 M female connectors are equipped with auto-locking threaded joint.
The receptacle RSMF 8/0.5 M connector can be fixed on the frontage side of switching cabinets or other devices. On the other hand, the RSMEDG 8, which can be installed in the sensors, can be easily pushed in and linked using a snap-in/threaded joint.
Adam Callender, Belden’s Regional Manager for Australia/New Zealand stated that their company has acquired wide acceptance for the connection technology with the advent of their eight-pole M8 actuator and sensing connectors and thus could revolutionize their IP67-certified M8 connector. He further added that this connector technology will help processing wide signals within a restricted space even under extreme environmental conditions.
