Wisconsin Makes CO Sensors Mandatory in Residences

A new law has been passed in Wisconsin that stipulates that all houses that have one or two families in the residence should install sensors that will detect presence of carbon monoxide, including those still under construction.

The gas is both tasteless and odorless and exists in the vicinity of gas burning devices. However, no penalty has been stipulated for not having the sensors installed. The device will trigger an alarm immediately on detecting carbon monoxide. If a caller reports sickness or any other alarming symptoms, the team that responds will wear air masks. A simple alarm will prompt the team to carry a device that will determine the amount of carbon monoxide. Symptoms of gas poisoning are dizziness, headache and nausea. A good sensing device will display the level of carbon monoxide present in the environment.
