ASM has unveiled its POSITILT PTAM5 inclinometer in both single- and dual-axis models with individual measurement ranges of ±180 and ±60°.
Both variants are also available for measuring smaller ranges in ±15°. They deliver resolution of 0.05° with linearity of ±0.5°. They are encased in stainless steel casing compliant with IP67/69K or IP68. They are resistant to harsh outdoor conditions. A tilted sensing device is available featuring 4-20mA and 10V analog outputs, CANOpen and CAN SAE J1939.
The devices deployed in outdoor applications including off-highway equipment, windmills and off-shore locations will withstand harsh climates, temperature variations and severe pollution. The PTAM5 is encased in sturdy stainless steel housing to withstand these harsh conditions and securely installed with four M8 bolts. The sturdy enclosure is rated IP67/69K, with an optional IP68 rating.
This addition to the POSITILT family of tilt sensing devices features wear-free MEMS technology. In the single axis model, it measures between ±180 and ±60° for the dual axis model. Both variants also are available to measure smaller ranges of ±15° increments. It has a resolution of 0.05° and a linearity of ±0.5°. This device comes with the 4-20mA and 10V analog outputs and CANOpen and CAN SAE J1939.
