The Hongqiao airport in Shanghai, opened recently just in time for the forthcoming Shanghai World Expo from May 1 to October 31 2010, has installed SenseAir AB’s carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors for its HVAC systems.
Hongqiao airport has the capacity for handling 30 million passengers annually. Already SenseAir’s CO2 sensors are installed in Mûnchen, Kaula Lumpur, Hongkong, Singapore, and various other international airports.
This fair is likely to be visited by around 100 foreign leaders and is supposed to have 70 million visitors. Already more than 50 international organizations and 190 nations have registered to attend the fair. The order for SenseAir AB’s CO2 sensors, used for ventilator control, is considered as an esteemed order, since Shanghai is expected to emerge as the world’s financial hub. This airport serves as a model for about 100 airports planned for China in the near future. The order is likely to increase the probability of the SenseAir’s sensor supply to these airport projects also in China.
