LumaSense Rolls Out Multi-Purpose Infrared Temperature Sensors

LumaSense Technologies has rolled out IMPAC IS 320 and IGA 320, the two new multi-purpose infrared temperature sensors. These two pyrometers are the latest to entries into the impressive wide range of LumaSense’s gas and temperature sensors.

These sensors are compact in size, output is in the digital and analog form, having a faster response time, and their cable connections can be exchanged and have LED provision for easy focussing while taking measurements. They are apt for applications where precise readings are needed without having any contact with the surface to be measured. Jeff Becker, the global vice president of marketing at LumaSense claimed that the new pyrometers can meet any kind of measurement demand in any environment. He added that IMPAC IS 320 and IGA 320 have premium optics that facilitates easy observation of temperature values and finally get the best yield from their products.

Both the sensors are made of stainless steel and are hence EMI safe; their design is best suited for applications such as tempering, preheating, annealing, welding, forging and hardening. With the help of the LED lights, the engineers at the plant find it easy to adjust the sensor such that it focuses on the device to be measured. The optics used in these sensors is highly adept in measuring minute objects, as small as 1.2 mm. Since their response time is very less, they  perform well in high-dynamic processes like sintering, melting, brazing etc. The sensors are designed to be tough and at the same time accurate and their installation process is very simple. They both have the InfraWin software inside them hence they can be set up with PC’s and even for graphical temperature displays easily.
