Thermal Matrix Offers Bomb Detection Technology with Infrared Sensor

Thermal Matrix USA, a provider of advanced concealed object detection systems, has announced a new program to detect suicide bombers.

The company offers to add bomb detection capabilities to existing infrared sensors used by military agencies and domestic law enforcement for security applications. The company’s Access Counter IED Technology (ACT) system is offered as an add-on feature, which would help detect suicide bombers before they reach their target.

The ACT system has the capability to detect person-borne improvised explosive devices, including hidden liquid, gel, powder and plastic explosives at safe distances. An infrared sensor is a critical component of the ACT system.

Thermal Matrix’ ACT is compatible with existing infrared sensors used in security systems and the system can further increase their detection capabilities. The system can be used in different types of environments and can be operated by a single person. It can be set up in less than 10 minutes.

Terrorist attacks have increased all over the world and terrorist are relying more on suicide attackers to attain their objectives. Thermal Matrix’ ACT would help deter such efforts at reduced cost when compared to a complete detection system.
