Oldham, a global company specializing in fire and gas detection equipment and services, has launched the OLCT 200 fixed transmitter for monitoring dangerous levels of industrial gases. The company is a subsidiary of Industrial Scientific Corporation.
OLCT 200 gas detection transmitter
The OLCT 200 gas detection transmitter is CSA-approved and can be used to monitor hazardous gas levels in locations that are difficult to access. It can also be used in remote areas. The sensor can be remotely mounted away from both the display and the transmitter. The transmitter allows simultaneous monitoring of two different gases and can be used with various gas detection technologies such as infrared, photoionization detection, electro-chemical, and catalytic bead sensors.
The transmitter is compatible with various types of fixed gas detection installations. It can be configured with cold climate heaters or stainless steel or aluminum explosion-proof housing. The OLCT 200 has optional on-board programmable relays and can be set up for Modbus RTU digital output, 4-20 mA analog output, and wireless and HART communication.
The OLCT 200 is a complete wireless gas detection system and its 2.4 GHz or 900 MHz wireless communication is compatible with MPSIV mobile monitoring system and WX series alarm controllers. The hardware of the gas detection transmitter is ideal for SIL 2 applications.
