Magellan’s new Magellan RoadMate Pro 9165T GPS navigation device is a portable system designed for Recreational Vehicle (RV) enthusiasts.
This device with its HD 7” touch screen, Bluetooth connection, free lifetime traffic alerts and heavy duty extension mount could provide free lifetime alerts to warn drivers about delays and also suggest alternate routes. The core strengths of the Good Sam Club, which is the largest RV Owner’s organization, the Trailer Life RV Parks & Campground Directory and Magellan are combined in one single GPS device. The directory is an essential tool for RVers with its 11,700 comprehensive listings for both Canada and US and it also provides internet and WiFi access, the Good Sam Club discount locations, pet friendly campground locations and Trailer Life’s rating system. The other features offered are special route preference settings for large vehicles and RVs. Once the user enters the vehicle’s width, height, weight and length into the device, it would help the driver to avoid obstacles such as narrow roadways, low bridges and weight limited streets.
Stig Pedersen, the Senior Director of Product Management at Magellan GPS, commented that the Magellan GPS would make navigating large vehicles an enjoyable experience. The device would alert drivers on traffic problems, promote safe driving and inform them about the best routes which they could take. He further mentioned that the company is happy to partner with Good Sam Club and Trailer Life Directory.
The device also features spoken street names, highway lane assist, OneTouch menu for favorite searches and places and multi-destination routing. It also includes a built in directory consisting of over 6 million points of interest such as gas stations, restaurants, coffeehouses, accommodations, health services and shopping centers in Canada and North America. An A/V input present in the device would help easy connection to back up iPods, DVD players and cameras.
