Gill Sensors have released the new S2 liquid level gauges, which would allow linear display of the liquid present in irregular shaped tanks.
It has always been a challenging task to display the volume of liquid in irregularly shaped tanks as the physical level of liquid in the tank does not indicate the actual volume of liquid remaining. Hence engineers have a tendency to trust data look-up tables and external processing electronics for calculating the actual amount of the liquid. However, the new S2 liquid level gauge could be configured with great ease to indicate the actual volume of liquid inside the tank, making external electronics or data lookup tables redundant.
This gauge has been designed to be used along with the capacitive liquid level sensor developed by Gill Sensors. This gauge is being offered along with the Tank Profiler software application for allowing the user to create code for the gauge as per the known volumetric levels in the tank. The display gauge has the ability to show the real volume in a linear way, irrespective of the alterations in the profile of the tank because of the true volume and level sensor output voltage which has been noted all through the depth of the tank.
Total control over the lighting of each LED is given to the user and this could be programmed on the basis of user’s requirements. A total of 29 ultra bright LEDs, along with a number display panel which would indicate the real liquid volume are included in the display gauge. It also contains automatic brightness control, which is also light sensitive for usage in conditions such as direct sunlight and low light. A low level alarm (visual) could also be set up which would be seen at any pre-calibrated depth observation. The S2 Liquid Level Display with an oval bezel shape is light and compact and can be installed easily on instrument panels and dashboards.
