Ultrasonic Fuel Flow Measurement Technology by Gill Sensors

Gill Sensors has been shortlisted for The Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) Technology and Innovation Business Excellence Award 2012.

The esteemed award ceremony which celebrates achievements in the British motorsport and performance engineering industries will be held during the MIA annual dinner at Autosport International.

Paying tribute to the industry’s finest accomplishments within the last 12 months, the highly regarded award recognises excellence in technology advancements and innovation.

The new Ultrasonic Fuel Flow Sensor by Gill Sensors.

Gill Sensors has been announced as a finalist for the award due to their contribution to the significant leap forward in race car fuel flow monitoring with the launch of the Ultrasonic Fuel Flow Sensor. Acknowledged for its potential to redefine its industry sector, the flow sensor has been specifically designed for the accurate measurement of fuel usage in motorsport applications.

Featuring Gill’s proven ultrasonic measurement technology and a newly developed electronic platform, the sensor detects real time bi-directional fuel flow to a high degree of accuracy. The sensor is designed with no moving parts and is capable of measuring flow rate 2000 times a second.

Other finalists for the Technology and Innovation Business Excellence Award include DeltaWing, Millers Oils and Zytek. The category winner will be presented with the award at the MIA annual dinner on Thursday 10th January 2013.
