Opto 22 has expanded its energy management software platform product line by collaborating with eSight Energy.
The software platforms will be capable of interacting with and presenting energy information collated by the OptoEMU Sensor and make the data available to building owners, energy managers and facility managers whereby users will be able to monitor their electricity usage, identify anomalies and therefore reduce their utility bills by reducing energy-related costs.
eSight is a web-based energy analysis and management platform with an OptoEMU sensor interface. The platform has been developed by eSight Energy and it allows industrial and commercial users to connect to electrical panels, metering devices, equipment and machines and view energy consumption data from any laptop, smart phone, PC or tablet online.
The President of eSight Energy, Janie Jefferies-Freer stated that the collaboration with Opto 22 allows customers to integrate OptoEMU Sensors with analytic capabilities offered by eSight to monitor and analyze their energy usage.
The integrated energy management, data analysis and monitoring portfolio will be launched on 24 August at Chicago’s Soldier Field at the eSight Energy Annual Summit. The Chief Executive Officer of Opto 22, Mark Engman stated that by integrating technology and expertise of both companies, the company is able to provide automation and engineering teams, different methods required to gather data and gain the visibility required to set up energy usage practices and policies that can considerably reduce the utility bills.
