Opto 22, a manufacturer of controllers, solid-state relays, I/O and software for industrial automation & control headquartered in Temecula, California, has announced the release of the SNAP-AIRTD-1K, a temperature sensing, analog input module.
The SNAP-AIRTD-1K module provides two channel analog temperature inputs which can be used with 1000 ohm platinum RTDs, making it suitable for 3- and 2-wire 1000 W probes used in HVAC systems. The new RTD input module can be used for 100 W platinum and 10 W copper probes as well.
The CE, RoHS and DFAR certified SNAP-AIRTD-1K module providesan input range of 0-4000 W along with an input temperature range of -200°C and +850°C (-328°F and +1582°F). Apart from providing temperature inputs, the module can be used for high-resolution resistance measurements. The module offers an average resolution of 0.16 W and a maximum over-range limit of 4400 W.
Technicians and engineers rely on 1000 W platinum RTD probes to measure temperatures in HVAC systems, industrial refrigeration and furnace applications, autoclaves and in applications that require precise measurement in alarge temperature range. The SNAP-AIRTD-1K analog input module can be used for PC-based control applications based on SNAP Ethernet I/O systems as well as SNAP PAC programmable automation controller.
The SNAP-AIRTD-1K module is transformer isolated and can be mounted on a SNAP PAC rack using a rack-mounted controller.
