A geoscience solutions provider headquartered in Houston, Global Geophysical Services has announced that the letter of intent to obtain complete shares of Sensor Geophysical located in Calgary has been signed. The transaction’s completion is subject to the purchase and sale agreement’s execution and certain other terms and conditions.
The result of combining the capabilities of Sensor Geophysical’s (Sensor Geo) multicomponent processing toolkit with the acquisition capabilities of Global Geophysical Services (Global Geo) will lead to the market’s most comprehensive provider of converted wave imaging technology.
Global Geo is developing an advanced autonomous nodal imaging system and will combine Sensor Geo’s 3C and 4C processing units along with the proprietary software to attain multi-component imaging. Once the acquisition is complete, Global Geo will also gain entry into the seismic markets of Canada.
