Hemisphere GPS, a designer and developer of GPS systems, has declared the availability of its enhanced G100 all-in-one guidance and steering device for use in the agriculture industry.
The company’s compatible G100 systems have been expanded such that they can operate directly with Challenger, Massey and AGCO portfolios of Auto-Guide Ready tractors and combines. This system can be ideally employed in variety of applications including spreading, harvesting, tillage, seeding and spraying processes.
The strong and handheld G100 steering systems can be mounted on the roof and connected to the ISOBUS CAN terminal, thereby utilizing the pre-existing AGCO in-cab port. The customized G100 devices’ software performs automatic communication and instantaneous display of the startup and functional data of the agricultural machine directly on the screen provided within the cab. The G100 steering device is designed by incorporating the company’s patented Crescent tilt compensation and receiver technology to ensure parallel, contour and pivot farming.
Jim Chinnick, Hemisphere GPS OEM Business Development’s Vice President, stated that the company’s enhanced G100 plug-and-play steering system will help the operators in providing guidance and automatic steering of a wide range of auto steer ready equipments. Chinnick added that the company’s G100 technology solution will eliminate the requirement of having extra unlock codes, ECU, another port or cabling in the cab.
The G100 device provides standard GPS messages for positioning the external systems including spray controllers and yield monitors, thereby ensuring improvement in the efficiency of the farming process, reducing driver fatigue and extending the operation period.
