CAS DataLoggers partnering with dataTaker, a datalogging developer, has launched a latest dataTaker LabVIEW driver for the DT8x series of smart dataloggers.
The LabVIEW driver is a complete library of VIs, which permits the DT180 dataloggers to be queried and configured from the LabVIEW. The dataTaker driver employs standard LabVIEW conventions, which enables the users to communicate and format the information of the datalogger using the driver VIs, thereby permitting them to concentrate on the application rather than the datalogger interface.
The dataTaker driver permits the users to link the DT80 dataloggers with the graphical programming environment of LabVIEW, which ensures fast programming capability, advanced reporting features and analysis, and convenient drag-and-drop interfacing and data display. Apart from the interfacing, the LabVIEW provides a wide support for accessing the drivers, instrumentation hardware and abstraction layers provided in the buses and other instruments.
The new dataTaker LabVIEW driver is designed on the basis of old DT800 and DT500 drivers with further improvement on simplified communication interface, documentation and data formatting. The users can quickly develop the applications with flexible solutions, using the customizable examples and code along with the dataTaker’s key concepts that are provided through the driver. The users are now capable of getting various features including control systems, design and deploy measurement, multiple libraries having features like signal conditioning, visualization, statistics and data acquisition, in multiple LabVIEW packages. The dataTaker driver hardware, featured with flexible, universal digital, analog and serial inputs, can be employed in real-time applications performing data acquisition, apart from its application in stand-alone functioning in either distributed or remote locations using limited electricity supply.
