Leading vendor of LCD display and projector systems NEC Display Solutions of America has recently added the 52-inch S521 LCD display to its existing S Series LCD displays that include the 46-inch S461 and the 40-inch S401 versions.
The new high definition display can function in environments having extended operation times like retail, airport, and various applications in meeting rooms, video conferencing systems and corporate boardrooms.
The new display incorporates features like full high definition resolution of 1920 x 1080, maximum of 500 cd/m² brightness, broad connectivity through HDMI, S-Video, composite, component, DisplayPort, DVI-D, 5 BNC (RGB/HV); business grade panel having enhanced cooling design for the prevention of likeliness of image retention with better color uniformity, in-built scheduler and real-time clock to facilitate scheduling in advance the powering up/down of the monitor, saving energy and increasing the lifecycle.
The AmbiBright feature helps to provide consistent and constant brightness under any lighting condition through the ambient light sensor. An in-built tuner empowers users in streaming content that is as high as 1080P and also the Clear QAM/NTSC/ATSC signals.
The S521’s optional products and accessories include the SpectraViewII Color Calibration Kit, NEC Display Wall Calibrator, single board computer and internal HD-SDI card. Users can use the MPD-DTi digital/analog tuner card for broadcasting digital signage content and also stream Internet and television content without having to use a tuner.
The ambient light sensor incorporated in the display offers optimum brightness depending on the light situation. The sensor’s improved digital signage technology suite incorporates more than 30 in-built features for benefiting a broad range of applications. Like its S Series versions this model has low power consumption level and provides various options for digital connections, as well as standardized analog connections for satisfying a multitude of large-format display applications for installation. Through the Ethernet, DDC/CI, RS-232 in/out and IR the users would be able to derive benefit of flexible control and remote monitoring.
NEC Display Solutions’ Product Manager Luke Bruschuk informed that the S521’s capabilities enable businesses in communicating with customers more effectively and enhancing their visibility and at the same time ensuring efficient usage of energy.
