Digital View, a UK based manufacturer of advanced digital media players and LCD display controllers, has announced that it has entered into a partnership with SpectraCal, a calibration software provider. As per the terms of the collaboration, SpectraCal will support the CalMAN video calibration software featured in the latest LCD controllers rolled out by Digital View.
The partnership will enable Digital View to offer its LCD display integrator and monitor builder clients with a solution to calibrate their LCD products using a simple and automated process enabled by the CalMAN software.
The CalMAN software provides users with easy workflows to aid them in calibrating their LCD solution within 30 minutes. The customizable calibration solution interfaces through an RS-232 port and the software controls the image and gamma manipulation to provide the most accurate calibration.
The Director – Business Development at SpectraCal, Steve Jackson stated that the partnership will offer display partners the most advanced image representation solution available.
The President of Digital View, Neil Wood stated that by adding the CalMAN support to their controllers which are used in image critical medical, broadcast and radar applications will provide a cost effective solution to Digital Views customers.
The immediate result of the strategic tie-up is a workflow for display matching for video wall applications. The new technology offerings from Digital View will integrate CalMAN software solution to provide calibration solution for tiled video applications.
The new solutions developed by Digital View and SpectraCal will be showcased at ISE 2012 tradeshow being held in Amsterdam.
