Navman Wireless Enhances Fleet Tracking System with SpeedGauge

Navman Wireless collaborates with SpeedGauge to provide a novel speed monitoring device based on GPS for the company’s OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking system.

The integrated technology of both the companies is used to detect the infringement of speed limit or company speed policies, which minimizes maintenance cost, fuel consumption and risk of the fleet owners. The fleet managers can examine the speed pattern over time and find out the driving performance by using this device. It can be used in US and Canada.

The customers can limit the driving speed over posted speed limits, set thresholds for truck yards, private roads and other locations, can use to monitor speed violation, receive emails, look into other information of Navman and can also access various trend reports online. The device can be used in hazmat vehicles, trucks and cars. The reports can be maintained for a longer time.

Navman Wireless Application Programming Interface (API) has been enhanced by the entry of SpeedGauge. Navman Wireless API can be used for the advancement of Navman’s fleet tracking information and for the addition of the latest operations to OnlineAVL2 software.

The GPS-based Navman Wireless device offers operations, performance and location information for construction machinery and vehicles in a single interface. The system minimizes the expenditure of fleet owners and monitors imprecise timesheets, idle time, individual usage of vehicles and unauthorized stops. The device enhances the maintenance schedule and dispatch efficacy.
