The SNAP-AITM-4i Thermocouple and Millivolt Input Module have been launched by Opto 22 for monitoring industrial temperature and data acquisition, aiding technicians and automation engineers to achieve precise temperature readings with quick installations.
This would eliminate the necessity of purchasing thermocouples with costly built-in isolation. The new module would take up to four inputs from a broad range of thermocouples. The four inputs of the module’s channel can be configured individually and isolated channel to channel. These individually configurable inputs would be a great help to system integrators, automation engineers and original equipment manufacturers by saving on system costs, as the new module would accept multiple signal inputs and thus reduce the necessity of buying separate modules for different millivolt signals or thermocouple types. Furthermore, the channel to channel isolation helps prevent ground loops, which could result in electrical interference and thus lead to fake temperature readings. This would be helpful to instrumentation technicians and panel builders for reducing the wiring and installation expenses and at the same time simplify the panel design.
The SNAP-AITM-4i is perfect for and data acquisition and high-resolution temperature monitoring for industrial ovens, furnaces, autoclaves, heat exchangers and other equipment that need accurate thermal regulation, if it is used along with the SNAP PAC rack mounted programmable automation controller or with the Opto 22 SNAP PAC I/O processor. The SNAP-AITM-4i is also transformer isolated and optically isolated.
