Dytran, a Chatsworth, California-based manufacturer of piezoelectric and triaxial DC MEMS accelerometers, has announced the release of model 4753B, an in-line charge amplifier.
The miniature model 4753B amplifier can be operated along with high temperature charge mode accelerometers because it offers high tolerance to low insulation resistance levels. The Integral Electronic Piezoelectric (IEPE) unit is powered using constant current and has been designed to be compatible with other IEPE designated devices.
Charge amplifiers are critical for converting high impedance, electrostatic charge signals produced by charge generators to voltage mode signals of lower impedance to drive longer cables with no signal degradation.
The tolerance offered by Dytran model 4753B enables shutdown of conventional charge amplifiers. It is compatible with sensors offering low insulation resistance of 100k §Ù without affecting output or performance.
The latest addition to Dytran's range of in-line charge amplifiers, the model 4753B offers a 10-32 jack input connector, a BNC jack output connector, a 10 mV/pC sensitivity and a rapid turn-on time of less than 5 s. The other models of in-line charge amplifiers operational with high temperature sensors include model 4752BT and model 4752B.
Dytran develops high performance accelerometers forautomotive, aerospace, laboratory, medical, industrial and commercial applications. The other devices manufactured by Dytran also include cables, impedance heads, impulse hammers and systems, pressure sensors and force sensors.
