CAS DataLoggers has introduced a new cost-effective solution for monitoring the environment. The dataTaker DT82E Environmental Data Logger can be used in various environmental monitoring applications, such as hydropower, weather stations, and agriculture.
The robust datalogger can be used to monitor environmental parameters including air pressure, flow, and water turbidity.
The DT82E device is a flexible, stand-alone, cost-effective solution that can be used to monitor a wide range of input signal types for recording current, voltage, temperature, resistance, strain gauges, bridges, frequency, serial, digital and calculated measurements. It is compatible with SDI-12 sensor networks, and the Web, FTP and TCP interfaces. The datalogger features universal inputs, and has an 18-bit resolution along with a built-in display. It supports USB memory stick devices.
The device has programming and alarm capabilities that can process the measurements and take actions by themselves. It has RS232 ports and can be connected to a PC or to a centralized computer over the Internet or a modem. The device can also be configured from a remote location. The datalogger features four high-speed counter channels, two universal analog sensor channels, an SDI-12 channel, four bi-directional digital channels and dual channel isolation. The device has an accuracy of ±30 V and the readings that are measured can be logged, scaled and used for statistical reporting.
The rugged features are designed to withstand extreme weather. The DT82E datalogger is supplied with a FREE dEX web-based software that allows users to view the data in real-time as tables or trend charts. The dEX software can be viewed through the datalogger’s built-in communications ports.
