BinMaster Unveils Web-Based Bin Monitoring System with Liquid Level Measurement Technology

BinMaster Level Controls, a division of Garner Industries, announced that its BinView web-based monitoring system is now integrated with liquid level measurement technology. The monitoring solution allows users to check the levels in liquid and solid tanks over the Internet.

The SmartWave radar measurement and SmartSonic ultrasonic sensors from BinMaster provide a constant level measurement in nearly all types of liquids such as oils, water and municipal waste, as well as chemicals like liquid fertilizer.

The SmartSonic ultrasonic sensor can determine the level in liquid tanks measuring up to 60 ft in height, while the SmartWave radar measurement sensor can measure the level in tanks up to 100 ft tall. SmartBob sensors for solids and SmartWave or SmartSonic sensors for liquids can now be combined in one network. This will allow users to check both their solid and liquid tanks on their SmartPhone or over the Internet.

The main parts of the BinView monitoring system include SmartBob, SmartWave or Smartsonic sensors, a wired or wireless data communications network, a data collection software that enables authorized users to see the information on the internet, and a gateway to allow connectivity to an IP network or PC.

BinMaster’s VP of Sales, Todd Peterson informed that the BinView monitoring system provides a real-time inventory management solution to customers, who can now determine their solid and liquid tanks round-the-clock and view their inventory data on the Internet anytime and anywhere across the globe. Users can view both historical and current inventory data. Additionally, SMS and email alerts are sent instantly when bin conditions meet thresholds that are user-defined.

Moreover, manual checking of bin levels is eliminated, which saves significant time, money and resources and enhances the efficiency of operations. The monitoring system can be scaled up to monitor 1 or 100 vessels. The BinView is equipped with a visual mapping feature that demonstrates vessel types, levels and locations to simplify operations.

The BinView includes continuous encryption and authentication to make sure that information is protected while relaying it from the bin to the office.
