Inventek Systems Launches GPS Receiver Module with Integrated Ceramic Patch Antenna

Inventek Systems has released the low-power ISM480F1 GPS receiver module. The compact, ISM480F1 module, featuring a ceramic patch antenna is based on the SiRFStarIV GSD4e platform. Its SiRFInstantFix technology and software helps reduce the time-to-first fix and optimizes the performance.

The 48-channel GPS module offers low power, high gain and high sensitivity and is ideal for applications with power and size restrictions, such as vehicle trackers, asset trackers, fitness and sports tracking devices, handheld consumer devices and digital cameras.

The key features of the small form factor ISM480F1 receiver module include a compact size of 16.5x16.5x7 mm enabling easy integration; a ceramic patch antenna of 15x15x4 mm for high sensitivity and location-fix performance; integrated SAW Filter, TCXO and LNA; anti-jamming capabilities with inbuilt detection and mitigation for accurate and fast navigation in high noise situations; 48 channels for track verification; Host UART or I2C or SPI interface; 1.8 V single power supply; 12-pin header interface; hot start at 1s and both warm and cold start in 35s; 1s reacquisition time along with storage of ephemeris data for rapid hot starts.

The features of the ISM480/420 evaluation board offered for design integration and evaluation include support for ISM480 and ISM420-BO GPS modules; data display of satellite, HDOP, altitude, GeoID, UTC and Lat/Lon along with SiRF flash utility support.

Inventek Systems is headquartered in Billerica, MA. The privately-held company designs and distributes consumer antennas for GPS and Wi-Fi, embedded microcontrollers, global positioning systems, Wi-Fi SIP modules and other embedded solutions.
