Customers monitoring the temperatures of cooling systems built for large diesel engine-driven generators and other power generation systems need a convenient way to take temperature and other readings at precise accuracy.
CAS DataLoggers together with Grant Instruments has the portable solution with the high-performance, compact SQ2020 series data loggers featuring an improved fully-configurable large graphical LCD display and updated design. Streamline your engine temperature monitoring process with these versatile and durable data loggers offering easy modification for a wide range of different measurements. Additionally, the Squirrel loggers’ versatility and accessible design enable hassle-free operation at an economical price. These sophisticated data loggers offer an ideal out-of-the-box solution available in 3 configurations: the SQ2020-1F8 logger, the high-speed SQ2020-2F8 logger, and the SQ2020-2F8 WiFi wireless logger. Customers are secure knowing that each data logger within the Squirrel range comes complete with a 3-year warranty, and OEM versions of most products are available on request.
Squirrel SQ2020 data loggers are portable data collection systems compatible with various configurations of thermocouple sensors, for example to measure a generator’s surface and liquid temperatures at various locations as well as the ambient temperature. Squirrel data loggers offer a high-quality, highly accurate (0.05%) battery-powered solution measuring a broad range of physical values including temperature, humidity, current, voltage and resistance. Each SQ2020 data logger features twin processors, 8 differential (16 single-ended) analog inputs, and 8 digital event inputs, as well as up to 16 derived/calculated channels and 4 pulse rate/counter inputs. 4 alarm/relay outputs notify users when engine temperatures or other parameters suddenly go out of specification. The SQ2020s are easily configured via integral interface or via PC and offer both USB and RS232 connectivity. Onboard RS232 communications features can be connected to a PSTN or GSM modem.
Designed specifically for mobile data logging applications where portability and stand-alone operation are a must, Grant's powerful SQ2020 handheld data loggers are famous for their lightweight yet robust construction and reliability. This latest generation of Squirrel 2020 loggers feature multiple 24-bit ADCs for incredibly precise measurements. Squirrels are able to fulfill many temperature data logging needs, including more demanding applications requiring up to 100 readings per second on two channels (SQ2020 2F8 model). The datalogger is powered from internal cells or an external power supply connection.
The SQ2020 series now includes an intuitive and easy-to-read graphical LCD screen offering clear and simple navigation, fully configurable via the integrated four-button keypad so users can access most of the Squirrel’s core functionality without the need for a PC or laptop connection. Stand-alone operation away from the office is much simpler and more convenient. The screen size has been expanded from previous versions for greater information accessibility, replacing older alphanumeric displays. Logger status, setup and real-time graphical data in meter mode are at users’ fingertips, giving reliable results within minutes of powering on. SQ2020 data loggers can store up to 14 million points of internal data storage and utilize a removable MMC/SD card. The Squirrel series is fully compatible with Grant’s extensive range of temperature probes and with other commercially available sensors for measuring a wide variety of physical parameters.
Grant Squirrel dataloggers also include FREE SquirrelView setup and download software for a PC. SquirrelView’s user-friendly, spreadsheet style interface allows quick configuration of the data logger, speedy download of data and direct export of stored data to a PC application including Excel™. The optional SquirrelView Plus software offers additional benefits such as graphical data analysis and advanced reporting options.
