Extech Instruments, a global provider of handheld test and measurement tools, has received an Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (ACHR) NEWS award for its pitot anemometer/manometer & environmental datalogger. The U.S.-based Extech provides meters and testers for building/restoration, HVAC, electrical and environmental applications.
ACHR NEWS is a HVACR contractor weekly newsmagazine that has recognized two Extech and one FLIR tools as part of its eighth annual Dealer Design Awards. The tools were selected for their ability to increase safety and reduce complications for electrical contractors, and professionals dealing with heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment.
The contractors decide on the award winners and this is a unique feature in this industry. They judged the entries based the product’s overall design, impact on the industry, service, maintenance, unique features and the simplicity in installation. The products were numerically rated.
Extech’s HD350 pitot tube anemometer & differential manometer won the Bronze award in the category for tools. It combines a precision manometer and an anemometer to provide air pressure, temperature, and airflow/velocity.
Extech’s RHT50 compact USB datalogger for indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring of jobsites has been awarded Bronze.
The FLIR E60 Wi-Fi infrared camera was honored with Gold award in the testing & monitoring products category. It has superior diagnostic capabilities and can be connected to smartphones and Apple, Android tablets.
