CAS DataLoggers Introduce AEMC Model 407 & 607 Clamp Meters For Measuring Voltage & Current

Workers in electrical maintenance, power distribution, and industrial maintenance need a low-cost solution for projects such as AC/DC motor testing, power plant troubleshooting, and many others. With them in mind, CAS DataLoggers now carries the new AEMC Models 407 & 607 Clamp-On Meters, the only 1000V CAT IV rated clamp-on meters on the market!

Measuring TRMS voltage and current, these unique dataloggers are capable of measuring power in megawatt range down to 1W resolution. These economical devices provide a new standard for safety and measurement capability not available in any other clamp-on meter sold today.

The Model 407 datalogger measures TRMS voltage and current at 1000VAC/DC, 1000AAC/1500ADC, while the Model 607 monitors at 1000VAC/DC, 2000AAC/3000ADC. These data loggers auto-select AC or DC measurement and feature a jaw opening of up to 1.89" (407 model) and up to 2.36" (607 model). Both models also feature three-phase power simulation and record up to 1000 measurements. Real, Reactive, Apparent Power and PF are simultaneously displayed. The new clamp-on meters also measure and display total harmonic distortion in V and A. Both THDr and THDf are displayed and can also measure and display individual harmonic data out to the 25th in both % and value.

True InRush: Unlike other instruments which only measure InRush when the installation is first powered up, these new clamp-on meters measure all types of InRush, even those due to load increases on an installation which is already up and running--this is an exclusive AEMC feature. Both PEAK and RMS InRush values are captured at 1ms sample rate and 100ms duration windows.

Additionally, the Model 407 and 607 are able to wirelessly extract data stored in memory via Bluetooth communication technology. Safety-rated at 1000V CAT IV, these meters are safe to operate at the source of a building’s electrical supply. With these features users have an additional layer of safety for the operator, eliminating the need to stay in environments requiring the operator to wear PPE clothing. In addition to the standard measurement of volts, amps, frequency, resistance and continuity, these meters offer several unparalleled features. Add to this an IP54 environmental rating and you have a truly unique meter focused on user safety as well as measurement performance.

CAS DataLoggers has the most comprehensive selection of data logging equipment anywhere. As one of the largest distributors of data loggers in North America, the company has hundreds of different models from more than 16 manufacturers to satisfy almost any data recording application. Models from 1 to 300 channels are available to record temperature, humidity, force/strain, and pressure, as well as voltage, current, digital signals, serial (RS-232/RS-485), CAN/OBD or SDI-12 devices.
