OleumTech, a producer of industrial wireless automation systems, has launched the Wireless Thermocouple Transmitter that forms a major component of the WIO Wireless System.
The WIO Thermocouple Transmitter has been engineered to be incorporated in a variety of third-party Type K Thermocouple sensors and can be used effectively for wireless monitoring of flare, gas turbine, kiln, and in other industrial temperature monitoring applications.
The Thermocouple Transmitter can be used for accurately measuring the temperature of ±0.1% of reading per °C to attain ambient temperature effect. This transmitter also offers excellent installation versatility, which is facilitated by the new junction box design that has a flexible NPT opening which can be mounted in any direction. The junction box offers easy wiring access.
The intrinsically safe design of the Thermocouple Transmitter ensures secure and safe industrial use at -40°F to 158°F or -40°C to 70°C in Class I, Div 1, Groups A, B, C, and D installations. It is being offered in 900 MHz as well as 2.4 GHz versions, ranging up to 7500 ft. The device is battery-operated guarantee and is self-contained. It requires 1 s for transmit interval. Using BreeZ v4.0 Software, this Transmitter can be configured. It carries out wireless transmission of data to a WIO Wireless Gateway having Modbus connectivity to SCADA systems.
