Integrated Biometrics’ Mobile ID Fingerprint Scanner Receives FBI Appendix F Certification

Integrated Biometrics has introduced the most-compact and fastest non-optical scanner, Watson-Mini. With coveted FBI Appendix F certification, Watson-Mini complies or surpasses all the requirements enlisted in both EBTS Appendix F Mobile ID SAP 45 and PIV-071006 of the FBI IAFIS Image Quality Specifications.

Measuring 61x60x34 mm in size and weighing 85 g, the light-weight and compact Watson-Mini is the one-of-its-kind fastest Appendix F certified two-finger scanner. Watson-Mini ensures exceptional operational advantages than the other existing certified scanners.

Some of its features include high quality imaging in dirty environments, simple and reliable operation in direct sunlight, and works without using a membrane. It eliminates the need for latent prints to be wiped off from the sensor surface. Watson-Mini is effective for being deployed for enrollment as well as verification in multiple, single, or roll finger print applications. Watson-Mini is being offered in a configuration that is ideal for embedding in hardware or connecting via USB externally.

Integrated Biometrics' patented Light Emitting Sensor (LES) technology has been adopted by Watson-Mini. LES technology employs a highly designed charged polymer film functioning with significant properties of human skin in order to light up fingerprint images. Watson-Mini is available with Integrated Biometrics SDK for supporting Windows XP and promises compatibility in future with Linux or Android 4.0 operating systems. This device has the functionality required for versatile integration within the user’s application and operating environment.
