Gammaflux Europe Introduces Advanced Temperature Control System

Gammaflux Europe’s new G24 temperature control system will make its first appearance at Fakuma, which is scheduled to take place from 16 to 20 October 2012 at Friedrichshafen.

Designed for high-performance, this unique control system integrates the efficiencies of the TTC models with the compact configuration of Gammaflux’s LEC controllers. Gammaflux’s Triangulated Control Technology supports G24 controllers. This innovative technology boasts self-adapting PID² control algorithm-based temperature evaluation and actuation with phase angle firing control, and temperature sensing in 50 ms cycles,.

The G24 can further be upgraded to become more compact, where 24 zones can be tightly packed within a single control block, and each control module is rated for 15 A. Unlike TTC controller, a G24 controller having 128 zones, occupies 48% less floor space. The G24 controller’s operation and programming can be easily learnt by the operator. The standard module is integrated with two 15 A outputs effective for hot runner tip as well as manifold zone control. Deployment of less electronic components and optimum utilization of the global supply chain for these components makes G24 more affordable. The industrial duty USB interface equipped to the screen promotes speed with an update rate of 0.1 s.

Input/output (I/O) interfaces to the injection moulding machine protect the mold and make sure that reject mouldings are not generated. The G24 software with its screen input facility enables simple interlock between the machine and the mould, and interlocks simulation while machine set-up before entering production. The new control system includes validated “Mold Doctor” functions for efficient mould troubleshooting and for “Performance Monitoring” that can indentify leakages and errors in the hot runner system.

The G24 controller is ideal for process temperature control in any area of plastics processing.
