Geist has complemented its portfolio of self-contained environmental monitoring units with the recently released GBB15 and GBB15 POE. The compact units are packed with on-board humidity, temperature, and dew point sensors, and capable of monitoring climate variables that challenge critical data center equipment.
Web interface simplifies access to monitored data in real-time. On exceeding user-defined threshold, notification will be sent to users via text messages, SNMP, and email. The GBB15 will have improved monitoring efficiency when integrated with four additional plug-and-play climate sensors. "Power Over Ethernet" is attached to GBB15 POE, eliminating the A/C power requirement.
Geist is also launching the GTHD and the GT3HD climate sensors. By linking with GBB15 or Geist's comprehensive line of environmental monitoring products and intelligent power strips, these sensors ensure remote measurement of dew point, humidity, and temperature. The GT3HD provides two additional sensor ports for achieving temperature monitoring to the bottom, middle and top of the data center cabinet. By combining multiple GTHD/GT3HD sensors, a single master unit can be developed for collecting overall data via a single port.
According to EVP of Geist, Brad Wilson, besides expanding the company’s monitoring product line, these new additions simplifies the integration of network of advanced monitoring capabilities to keep the data center secure and also promotes cost-efficiency.
Geist designs and develops advanced technology and software for cooling, powering, monitoring and leveraging critical data center infrastructure. With extended and dedicated customer care, Geist ensures innovation, quality and contentment in all business categories.
