Cambridge Pixel now offers primary radar acquisition and network distribution solutions to DSE Airport Solutions, a Danish company for integration within air traffic management (ATM) project for the Royal Danish Air Force.
DSE’s solution was installed at three Danish military airports for extending integrated air traffic management solution for flight plan management and radar control. For improvement, engineers required a flexible solution for radar capture, distribution and compression for incorporation with their Windows-based application software, and DSE’s RADIS radar display client in specific.
As per the contract, Cambridge Pixel will deliver its HPx-200 PCI-based primary radar acquisition cards that will acquire standard (LOG) and moving target (MTI) video channels from the radar. Video data will then be packed and distributed based on Cambridge Pixel’s SPx Server software that can operate on dual redundant server PCs. Accessed from the network, the radar will be decompressed and used in application software for display, benefiting the client.
