Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), India, will implement NICE Systems’ integrated, comprehensive security system in India’s Parliament House in New Delhi for improving its safety and security. NICE will offer the system that has built using the Situator situation management solution.
This solution has integrated disparate safety and security systems in a holistic and single operational view and improves real-time response through information sharing and automation procedures. This chosen solution also incorporates IP-based video surveillance with NICE Inform that provides multimedia incident management and enhanced video analytics. BEL is the prime contractor for this project and a strategic partner of NICE. The deal is worth over $5 million.
NICE was selected for the project after a meticulous process of assessment from many competing vendors by virtue of its ability to offer a pre-integrated portfolio of security solutions that integrate inputs from high-end type video surveillance cameras, intrusion and acoustic sensors, 3D images, fire detection systems, along with multiple sensors in an overall situation awareness management platform. The platform facilitates event management, real-time action, investigation after the event and debriefing.
NICE Security Group’s President Israel Livnat informed that this state-of-the-art strategic security project from NICE has the ability to transform security situation management through providing an integrated system that facilitates real-time proactive response, comprehensive investigation functionalities and a total operational scenario and is built up using the software solution of security solution.
The Director of Parliament Security Sandeep Salunke added that the NICE solutions will provide an integrated view of the security environment across the complete Parliament complex for enhancing the situational awareness and help to respond to prospective safety and security threats in a proactive manner.
