Evidian has integrated the biometric software developed by leading finger-enabled biometric identification solution vendor BIO-key International Inc (BKYI) in its Enterprise Single Sign-on (SSO) system. Evidian has also installed this biometric identification solution in two major pharmaceutical firms successfully.
The integration allows users to access their applications by establishing their identities by the mere touch of their fingers. This single authentication technique empowers users to access their applications without carrying ID tokens that can be stolen, lost or forgotten easily, or remembering passwords.
The software integration provide the users of Evidian SSO a powerful authentication option while lowering the operational expenses related to management of tokens and passwords. Users are seen to prefer replacing passwords with the BIO-key biometric ID to avoid the hassles of remembering passwords and facing memory lapses under the pressure of approaching deadlines.
A Bull Group company, Evidian is among the major suppliers of software for identity and access management (IAM) and the European leader in this domain. Evidian’s Chief Operating Officer Hassan Maad informed that BIO-key facilitates reader interoperability besides providing superior accuracy and speed. He explained that customers using a range of desktop computers, tablets and laptops with fingerprint readers procured from various manufacturers will find that BIO-key can function with most of the major finger print readers.
Mike DePasquale, the CEO and President and CEO BIO-key, informed that his company is keen on developing this relationship further. He added that the Enterprise SSO system of Evidian has emerged from more than fifteen years of access and identity management experience. He clarified that the number of global users who access the Evidan’s solution daily exceeds two million. He also said that the availability of biometric authentication software from BIO-key will provide these users with an option of a secure and convenient technique to log on to their applications.
