CAS DataLoggers and Lascar have just announced the latest portable temperature monitoring solution--the new EL-GFX-1 Graphic Temperature Data Logger.
Now users can rely on this standalone data logger with highly visible LEDs, audible alarm, large memory, and a unique temperature-trigged logging mode. The data logger’s high-contrast Graphic LCD shows real-time readings, graphs and current status, while its micro USB port enables PC-based setup and data download.
These low-cost data loggers are ideal for many temperature monitoring applications including cold chain transportation and storage, medical refrigerator monitoring, HVAC projects, and many more. Keeping tabs on your data has never been easier.
View Your Real-Time Data at a Glance
The data logger features a high-contrast graphic LCD and 3 input buttons. Users simply check their current temperature data onscreen to view real-time readings, graph and current status. This allows users to start, stop and restart the data logger using on-screen menus. The data logger also features highly visible alarm LEDs so users stay on top of their data.
The EL-GFX-1 standalone USB data logger uses an internal temperature probe to measure temperature over a -30 to +80ºC (-22 to +176ºF) range at a resolution of 0.1ºC. Using the free Windows control software, users can quickly set up the data logger and view downloaded data by connecting the device to a PC’s USB port using the supplied cable.
The logger’s temperature-triggered start mode means that users can save memory by setting the device to record only when its sensors reach a certain temperature, and the logger’s large memory can store over 250,000 readings.
This menu also provides real-time analysis of data either as a data summary (showing highest & lowest readings and alarm conditions) or as a graph that updates as new data is added. The data logger also features a Micro USB interface for PC-based setup and data download.
Multiple data logging sessions can be stored on the device ready for upload to a PC at a later date. Additionally, the data logger’s robust design provides IP-67 waterproof protection and is supplied with 2 replaceable ½AA batteries to allow continuous logging for up to a year.
User-Friendly Control & Config Software
Lascar’s Easylog USB control software is easy to use and runs under Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. The software is used to set up the data logger as well as download, graph and export data to Excel. Each stored logging session is saved as a separate file. The latest version of the control software can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer.
The software allows several parameters to be configured, including choice of Celcius or Fahrenheit, Logging Rate (user-selectable between once every 10 seconds and every 12 hours), High and Low temperature alarms, and more.
Users can choose between immediate, delayed, push-button or temperature-triggered start modes. Users can also disable or enable the LEDs, set the audible alarm for delayed activation, or backlight the display with a button press. The data logger does not lose its stored readings when the batteries are discharged or replaced.
