Kaman Precision Products have launched a series of position and non-contact displacement sensors, to be used in severe areas. The device operates incessantly in the range of -320°F to +1,000°F and up to +1200°F for a restricted period.
The Inconel fabrication in this inimitable system is resistant to the perilous radiation, acidic environments and pollutants. Quality of measurement is so precise that it is least affected by severe environments and pollutants.
Kaman’s double helix design curtails both thermal and emission effects. The common mode rejection imparted by the balanced design of the dual coils makes up for stable and gradually varying temperatures from -320°F to +77°F or from 77°F to +1000°F.
The transducers toil on the electronics of Kaman KDM-8200 family’s signal conditioning, and use sleeve and mineral-insulated cables, sealed and laser welded with Inconel. NEMA and Euro-format enclosures support information on various channel systems, with and without digital displays and power supplies.
These sensors are of use in nuclear power plants, to measure the steam runout in turbine shafts, in rocket engine liquid fuel pumps, chemical processes, nuclear fuel rod vibration, shaft vibration, high-temperature processing and research projects.
