WSRI and MacB awarded Sensing and Information Research Center for Understanding Systems IDIQ Contract

MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Wright State Research Institute (WSRI) and MacB have been awarded the Sensing and Information Research Center for Understanding Systems (SIRCUS) Indefinite-delivery/Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. The seven year contract is valued at $14 million.

WSRI and MacB will foster innovation through the Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) Center programs. The ATR Center programs focus on understanding performance of sensing and exploitation systems and has historically leveraged partnerships between university research, industry and government to help solve current and future Air Force technology challenges.

Specifically, WSRI and MacB will deliver services that support all aspects of sensor development, management and exploitation and innovative sensing. In addition, the team will provide performance metrics, analysis and methods for sensor exploitation performance prediction, cooperative autonomous systems, information visualization and mobile computing architectures.

"Sensing technology provides key decision makers with the situational awareness necessary to determine and respond to current and future threats," said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB's Advanced Technology Group. "We are proud to partner with the Wright State Research Institute to help the Air Force reduce sensor program vulnerability from successful adversary collection and exploitation of critical information."
