Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system and the new Windows Biometric Framework are compatible with this TrueAPI. More than 40 million notebooks worldwide are installed with Authentec sensors and the customer base can potentially increase. With SDK, one touch is enough for creating new applications to swap website logins and passwords, and to lock files and folders.

According to Scott Long, AuthenTec Business Development Director, AuthenTec offers real product delineation by allowing third party developers to utilize the advantages of biometric technology within their Windows 7 PC applications. He added that the TrueSuite identity management software will be available for download via Windows Update and AuthenTec website shortly and the number of applications getting integrated with TrueSuite software will also increase. The interaction between Authentec and its partners is aided by giving access to its technical material, support tools and evaluation kits.
